Common Faults of Hydraulic Press

In the operation of metal extrusion hydraulic press, sometimes bolts fall off and fall into the hydraulic cylinder, causing serious scratches on the plunger wall. After the problem arises, the traditional method can not achieve on-site repair at all. It can only be dismantled and shipped to the manufacturer for repair welding or scrap replacement. Because there is no replacement of spare parts, the time of re-production of spare parts or repairing can not be controlled. Long downtime causes serious economic losses to enterprises, while paying high processing or repairing costs. In order to meet the requirements of continuous production, it is necessary to find a convenient, fast, simple and effective maintenance means to solve the equipment problem, to minimize the downtime and reduce maintenance costs. Polymer composites can be used to repair in situ, and the relatively mature Youshilan system can be applied. Using metal to repair 2211F polymer composites, it has super adhesive force, excellent compression resistance, balanced comprehensive physical and chemical properties, and good wear resistance. By smearing on site and grinding out the matching size after solidification, it can repair plunger scratches on the spot without machine processing, avoid scrap replacement and prolong the service life of equipment.
Operation steps:
1. Use oxygen-acetylene flame to bake the scratched part (master the temperature, avoid surface annealing) and bake the oil that perennially permeates the metal surface until there is no spark splashing.
2. Surface treatment of scratched parts with angle grinder, grinding depth of more than 1 mm, and along the outer wall of cylinder to grind grooves, preferably swallow tail grooves. Drilling holes at both ends of the scratch are deepened to change the stress.
3. Clean the surface with degreased cotton dipped in acetone or anhydrous ethanol.
4. Apply the uniform Megawa-Fushilan 2211F metal repair material to the scratched surface; the first layer should be thin, uniform and cover the scratched surface to ensure the best adhesion between the material and the metal surface, and then apply the material to the entire repair site and press repeatedly to ensure that the material is filled and reached the required thickness, making it slightly higher than the cylinder wall surface.
5. It takes 24 hours for the material to achieve all properties at 24 ~C. In order to save time, the temperature can be raised by halogen tungsten lamp. For every 11 ~C increase, the curing time will be shortened by half, and the optimum curing temperature is 70 ~C.
6. After solidification of the material, the material higher than the outer surface of the cylinder is repaired and smoothed with fine grinding stone or scraper, and the construction is completed.
